Instructions
Do not mix intensive red with seed. Can be used with supplementary animal feed, such as concentrated and egg food.
Dosage
Mix 10g Intensive Red with 1kg feed. Make the mixture fresh daily. Provide 2x per day, during the breeding and moulting period 4x per day. Always give intensive red during the moult, starting from 1 week before the moult. However, most canary breeders use Intensive Red all year round. Intensive red can also be dissolved in water. The dose is then 10 grams per liter (1 full teaspoon is ± 2 grams, 1 full tablespoon is ± 5 grams). The solution must be freshly prepared daily. Note: Both the feed mixture and the solution will turn red after mixing with Intensive Red. Do not interrupt the application of Intensive Red before and during the moult to avoid color reduction. The faeces of birds on Intensive red can be colored red. This is normal and a sign of adequate intake. Avoid overdose due to overload of vital functions of the liver (such as vitamin storage and detoxification). In addition, purple discoloration of skin and muscles can occur, which affects the scoring.
