The story of Edgard & Cooper may have some similarities with the Achazz cousins. The Edgard & Cooper brand was born thanks to two guys who met at university, Louis and Koen.
Louis and Koen shared many of the same interests, like games and beer. Koen and Louis quickly became best friends and soon dreamed of starting their own business. They remained friends and continued to meet up.
This was also the case after 10 years, in their local pub, "Café Des Arts." They talked about their work, their families, and their dogs, Edgard and Cooper. They noticed that both dogs had the same problem: they weren't happy with the dog food the men bought them. And they weren't getting much healthier either.
After a lot of reading and studying the labels of various dog food brands, they concluded that manufacturers made many promises, but the ingredient lists actually said something different than what they promised. This had to improve!
Koen and Louis got to work. They wanted to develop dog food that was better for their dogs, but also better for the planet. The Edgard & Cooper brand was born.
Charities and sustainability
Every package of Edgard & Cooper dog food is made from recyclable materials. In addition, 1% of the sales revenue goes to charity. This is Koen and Louis's way of doing business sustainably.
Edgard & Cooper is growing
Edgard & Cooper is a relatively new player in the dog food market. Yet, the formula has already proven incredibly successful. With high-quality food at relatively affordable prices, the Edgard & Cooper brand is a serious competitor to established brands like Pedigree .
The Edgard & Cooper brand is now available in 13 countries. That's a huge compliment for the two men, who haven't been together for a long time. The company now employs 200 people, and many more four-legged friends have settled in.
The Edgard & Cooper brand has since expanded to include cat food . They are working hard on various sustainability goals and have established the Edgard & Cooper Foundation. Through this foundation, they support various charities that strive to improve the lives of dogs and cats.
